Sam Robson, OTR/L
Samantha Robson, OTR/L, is a caring, passionate pediatric occupational therapist who truly enjoys working with children. Sam’s spark for Occupational Therapy was ignited in 2013, when her brother-in-law was born with Down syndrome. She decided on a career change from athletic training to Occupational Therapy to fulfill her newly discovered passion of working with children.
Sam is a graduate from James Madison University’s Occupational Therapy program. She has had a variety of different clinical experiences including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, a skilled nursing facility, schools and early intervention. She spent her first level 2 fieldwork in early intervention and the school system. Sam is interested in becoming certified in sensory integration as well as becoming certified in hippo-therapy.
Sam was born in Middletown, CT and moved to Culpeper with her family when she was six. She currently lives with her husband and two labs in Rixeyville. Sam’s volunteer interests include Shooting Stars, a 501c3 organization and local affiliate of the National Down Syndrome Society. Their vision is to “increase the opportunities, perception, acceptance, and quality of life for people with Down syndrome as well as those touched by them”. Their current big project is “Project Congratulations”, where they provide congratulatory gift bags to UVA and INOVA hospitals for new parents of babies with Down syndrome.
