Covid-19 Changes
The guidance from the US Department of Homeland Security memorandum on the list of essential infrastructure workers states that:
“If you work in a critical infrastructure industry, as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, such as healthcare services and pharmaceutical and food supply, you have a special responsibility to maintain your normal work schedule.”
Community-STARs is able to practice within the recommended CDC guidelines and follows our local government mandates.
Here’s what we are doing:
Therapists attest daily to COVID screening questions and taking their temperatures.
Disinfect before and after each treatment session.
Only one adult caregiver and one child client in a session.
Everyone older than three years old, who is able, must wear a mask.
Family’s text therapist or call the office: 540-225-1150 when they arrive. Front Desk will let families know when therapist is ready for them to come in.
Therapist meets family to review COVID screening questions and take temperatures.
Therapists, caregivers, and children wash hands and/or disinfect hands before and after every treatment session.
If a client has any symptoms, the in-person appointment is changed to a tele-health session or re-scheduled after 10 days from the last symptom.
Treatment sessions are >6ft from another client in the open gym.
The lobby is closed. We ask that the parent or caregiver who is not attending the session with their child wait under the pavilion or in your vehicle.
